Dyuti, a powerful business model that aims to promote women entrepreneurship, was launched in Delhi on 15th November 2016 at the FICCI Bhawan. Dyuti is a member-referral jewellery selling program that empowers women to be their own boss and earn at their own terms. The program was launched under Swayam, the prestigious initiative of FICCI Flo to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship amongst women.

Dyuti is a women empowerment initiative of SILgo Retail Pvt Ltd, a company started by Ms Bela Badhalia and Nitin Jain. SILgo.in is an ecommerce venture that sells hallmarked sterling silver jewellery. The designs and finishing of each product is world class and meets all global standards of perfection, fashion and purity. Ms Badhalia is a leading entrepreneur, member of FLO Governing Body and Past Chairperson of FLO Jaipur Chapter. Nitin Jain is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of expertise in silver jewellery manufacturing. The motivation behind starting Dyuti was the need to encourage participation of women in the jewellery industry, which is otherwise dominated by men. The name Dyuti is a synonym of Goddess Lakshmi and what better name to have the grehlakshmi come out of her stereotypical roles and become financially independent.

Ms Badhlaia was quoted saying “For any nation to flourish and any economy to boom, it is most important to have an active brigade of women working and being financially independent. Dyuti is one strong step towards achieving this and empowering women to come out and be the change the wish to see. It is an initiative committed to transform the grehlakshmi to swayam-lakshmi”.

On the launch of Dyuti, a celebrated panel discussion was organised to weigh and understand the subject: ‘Can business be an agent of change?’. Invited for the discussion as panellists were Ms Raveena Tandon actor, producer, columnist and former model; HH Ms Diya Kumari, Member of Legislative Assembly and Ms Kalyani Saha Chawla, Entrepreneur and Vice President, Marketing & Communication, Christian Dior, India. Ms Vineeta Bimbhet, FLO President, along with Ms Bela Badhalia convened and moderated the event. The launch and panel discussion saw warm participation of FLO members from Delhi as well as Jaipur.
