Bling it on

No bride dripped in diamonds quite like PC. The actress wore mainly Chopard and Sabyasachi for her ceremonies. From her cushion-cut Tiffany engagement ring featuring baguette diamonds on each side to her Chopard wedding band of 3.90-carats featuring Ashoka-cut diamonds all set in platinum, she managed to look ethereal and classic all the same in diamonds. Even her bridal shower jewellery was set in platinum. Tiffany & Co is known for its ethical sourcing of diamonds and the use of ethical gold. Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas wore a plain gold band which was made from ethically sourced gold. The actor wore an elaborate Mughal inspired uncut diamond necklace by Sabyasachi for her Hindu wedding ceremony, which was created with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22K gold.

Go big or go home!

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding was one of the most talked about affairs of 2018. It created so much media frenzy that it refused to die down even after a month. The most obvious thing about her wedding jewellery was that they were as traditional as traditional can get and of course they were elaborate and oversized, in a gorgeous way! Colombian emeralds, pearls, and uncut diamonds were predominantly a part of her jewellery. For her Bangalore reception she wore a rare emerald and rose cut diamond studded elaborate choker from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry while for the Mumbai reception she looked radiant in an off white sari accessorized with elaborate pearl fringe earrings and multi-tiered floral necklace by Abhujani Sandeep Khosla Crafted by Saboo.

Minimalist & Fuss-Free

Neha Dhupia followed the classicminimalist route . Unlike the other brides, Neha kept her wedding jewellery fuss-free yet traditional. She chose traditional chuda, a jadau and kundan choker style necklace, matching jhumkas and a tiny maang tikka, all of which were from Anita Dongre Fine Jewellery collection. In a world obsessed with elaborate wedding jewellery, there was another bride who kept her wedding jewellery to a minimum and that was ace shuttler Saina Nehwal at her wedding with Parupalli Kashyap. She wore a wedding set crafted with Burmese rubies, uncut diamonds and emeralds from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection while her groom wore an uncut diamond and pearl necklace from the same brand.

Larger than life

The world’s most expensive wedding turned out to be exactly how we imagined - luxury, grandeur, diamonds, diamonds and some more diamonds. From layered diamond necklaces, floral diamond drop earrings to elaborate uncut syndicate diamond and Zambian emerald studded Jodha- Akbar style necklace, the Isha Ambani wore some of the most opulent diamond jewellery.
