For centuries, the species of birds are known to stand for various symbols and signs. Happiness, Love and Freedom are three qualities that attribute the characteristics of these species. Mehta & Sons, a haute couture jewellery house, with a legacy of a century in jewellery designing, has conceived a capsule collection of cocktail rings of our feathered friends known as THE AVIARY!

This limited edition of rings, imitates birds such as Swan, Parrot, Crane and Cacatua into stunning and artistic jewel pieces. Each ring is distinct and focusses on unconventional components, emotions and acts of the feathered breed. The birds are designed in such a way, that they echo their current state of mood. The rings are extremely elevated through design and artistic visuals.

The White Swan is elegantly positioned upon two bloomed florals. It is decorated with diamonds, with a hint of colour through a red ruby eye and a golden beak. Its bosom frame is concocted with a large single mother of pearl bead. Another phenomenal cocktail ring in the collection is the Emerald Crane, it brings images of muddy paddy fields and humid summers. Nature’s Choreography is captured in this piece, with a paddy field of green Tsavorites, holding three emeralds cabochons and a crane sporting white diamonds and a large emerald cabochon back.

Capturing the moment of a bird's prey, is the Cacatua Ring, studded with Diamonds and its body created from Golden Topaz, perched upon a golden branch. The Red Beak ring is a bold and strong piece  in the capsule line. It majorly focuses on the upper body of the Parrot, with a powerful impact encapsulated by a deep Burma ruby as its beak. It's further enhanced with a crown engulfed in white diamonds.

Narendra Mehta, owner of Mehta & Sons, the designer behind this stunning collection talks about how this collection reflects our current state of mind. "These feathered creatures are considered to be powerful symbols of new opportunities and harbinger of peace and love even in times of adversity which is currently faced in the entire nation and world. All we aim to do is spread a little love and cheer in these trying times."
