Jaipur Jewellery Show Completes 2 Decades

The 20th Edition of JJS 2022 will have 901 exhibitors with over 500 hosted buyers

The 20th edition of the Jaipur Jewellery Show is scheduled to take place from December 23 to 26, 2022. The event will host 901 booths at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre or JECC covering 2, 00,000 square feet.  Out of the 901 booths, 245 will display Gemstones, 572 will display Jewellery, 17 will display Costume Jewellery, Articles & Artefacts and 68 booths will display Allied & Machinery. This time JJS will be attended by more than 500 hosted buyers, 82 new participants and several national brands.

Asher Ottamoochikkal, MD- Indian operations at Malabar Gold & Diamonds will be the Chief Guest; Vipul Shah-Chairman, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and Ashish Pethe-Chairman, All India Gem & Jewellery Council (GJC) will be the Guests of Honour at the inauguration ceremony to be held on December 23, 2022.

Jaipur Jewellery Show in its 20th year is themed Emerald…timeless elegance. The 13-member Emerald Promotion Group in association with GEMFIELDS as the prime emerald promotion partner, have come together to promote the precious stone, emerald. Many activities have been planned around the year to promote the cause with actress and model Mahek Chahal who is the brand ambassador of this year.

This year too, JJS – the B2B & B2C exposition will showcase diamonds, colour stones, precious metals like silver, gold, base-metal’s carving and beads. The event will also cover jewellers and gemstone dealers, jewellery institutes, publications apart from others. There will be separate sections for jewellery and gemstones traders. This categorization will make it convenient for the trade customers to search out the product of their choice. B2C consumers too will find it easy to scour the 850 booths where they can simply pick and buy from a number of sellers. They can compare and finalize a piece along with their retailers and friends – which makes it an amazing experience for all.

JJS has been organised in partnership with GIA, DTC, GJEPC, WFDB, CIBJO, GJC, ICA, Rio-Tinto, Gemfields, G & J Trade Organisations, bodies, associations, miners, IGI and SGL all have been prestigious partners to JJS.

JJS Booths & MSME, GJC & IBJA Participation

Sixty seven percent booths at the show are designer stalls. For this year too, JJS has also been approved for MSME and this would give opportunity for manufacturers to come forward and use this platform. Exhibitors registered by MSME can apply to avail the benefits of MSME. Over 50 GJC members will attend the event. All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) Board of Directors have been invited by the JJS for the show. More than 50 top jewellery retailers of the country will attend this glittering event. The General Body Meeting will be attended by over 50 GJC – All India Gems and Jewellery Domestic Council members on December 24, 2022.

For the first time, over 30 Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association or IBJA members are invited and hosted at the JJS. A seminar on ‘Gold’ will be conducted by Surendra Mehta for the benefit of the jewellery trade on December 23, 2022. International exhibitors include those from Bangkok and Hong Kong are exhibiting at 3 stalls and many global trade visitors are also expected.

Pink Club

New addition to JJS 2022 is the exclusive B2B traders pavilion named after the Pink City. In the Pink Club, there will be 51 pre-fabricated booths of size 4m X 3 m (12Sqm) and only B2B customers can visit this pavilion. This pavilion will have an exclusive lounge with complimentary goodies and Wi-Fi facility.

JJS-IJ Design Awards & Networking Dinner

The 12th edition of the JJS-IJ Jewellers’ Design Awards, presented by Indian Jeweller magazine and powered by GIA, will be held once again this year. The prestigious event is much looked forward to. Over 1000 designs have participated in the IJ Awards this year. The awards will be given away in a glamorous ceremony on the evening of 24 December at JECC Convention Centre by a Bollywood film star.

Another exciting feature of JJS is going to be the Gala Networking evening on December 24, 2022. The evening presents an opportunity and platform to the exhibitors to interact with the top retailers and hosted buyers of JJS over Dinner, cocktail and a live band performance.

Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF):

To celebrate and promote designers in all its glory, Jaipur Jewellery Show is hosting Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF) for the fifth time this year with the theme ‘Think Global at local’. The festival which will be spread in about 576 sq.mtr of the area in which will have multifold activities including product display by eminent designer brands, an art gallery to display gemstones artistically, seminars and panel discussions, virtual display of jewellery etc. along with library, cafeteria, and live music to give a festive look.

This year JJDF will give a platform to the students of 5 to 6 prominent designing institutes where these budding designers will display their creations. This JJDF 2022 will showcase the creativity of Jaipur through artisans and designers along with participation of budding designers from leading design institutes.

Show Highlights

A new registration area has been created for the convenience of visitors. The exhibitors at the show will find better flooring, lighting, carpets, lounge as well as parking and toilet facilities. In terms of car parking too there will be more space and better facilities for the participants and visitors. JJS has also left no stone unturned in ensuring total security for the high value products on display. Nearly 500 CCTV cameras will be placed at vantage points with security agency personnel ensuring fool proof arrangements are carried out. Members of the media will also be provided with a ‘Media Centre’ well-equipped with adequate facilities. Other than gems and jewellery sections, there will be other sections for publications, machinery, and gem testing laboratories as well as the ‘JJS-IJ Awards Entries’.

Like last year, this year too, JJS will felicitate 10 women achievers pan India in a ceremony that will be organised on 24-Dec as a part of activity under Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival. The Jaipur Jewellery Show has a dedicated social media team. The team has envisioned a platform that will provide its exhibitors, access to millions of potential consumers at low cost and with a realistic insight. As in the past this year too, the organizers have also made arrangements for individual cameras as well as JJS level for security. To further enhance the security this year, nearly 500 plus cameras have been installed in common area. This year also there will be a bar coded entry system for the visitors.

Event Details

The show will be open on all 4 days from 10 am to 1:30 pm for business and trade visitors, however the show will be open till 7pm for the B2C consumers as well. On December 26, the show will close gates at 6:30pm. Free To and Fro shuttle service will be available from Central Park Gates 1 and 2 from 9 am to 4 pm and from the JJS venue from 1 pm to 7 pm. Both, Hall 1 & Hall 2 will have separate lunch areas. Tea, coffee and snacks could be purchased from 4 canteens. The participants will once again be able to enjoy the gastronomic delight at the complimentary lunch which has been much appreciated over the years.
