The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is set to organize a Latin American delegation visit from May 21st to May 29th, 2024
The delegation will tour key locations in Brazil (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), Colombia (Bogotá), and Panama (Panama City), aiming to strengthen trade relations and expand India's presence in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region.
The primary objectives of this delegation visit include:
- Market Exploration: Enhancing India’s exports by understanding the dynamics of the LAC market.
- Market Needs Assessment: Reviewing and analyzing the open market to identify specific needs and requirements.
- Business Development: Identifying ideal opportunities for the gems and jewellery trade to foster new business relationships.
- Networking: Engaging with industry associations and networking with leading gems and jewellery companies.
- Policy Understanding: Gaining insights into the import and export policies of the host countries.
- Trade Facilitation: Encouraging participation of trade associations at the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) and in Buyer-Seller Meets.
Key interactions will include meetings with the Embassy of India in Brazil and major Brazilian retailers such as H. Stern. Networking events will feature prominent companies including Monte Cristo, Vivara, VQ Jewellery, Villar Joias, and many more.
This strategic initiative by GJEPC aims to pave the way for stronger trade ties and increased market penetration for Indian gems and jewellery in the LAC region.
