In a grand celebration at the Taj Jai Mahal Palace, the Sitapura Gems and Jewellery Industry Association (SGJIA) presented Shri Navrattan Ji Kothari with its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Recognising his unwavering commitment to the jewellery and gemstone sector, this accolade honours Kothari’s remarkable contributions to the industry and the community.

Since the 1960s, Kothari has been a trailblazer in the field, not only transforming his family’s gemstone business into the global KGK Group but also inspiring excellence and ethical practices across the jewellery trade. His vision expanded KGK from a gemstone trading company into a worldwide conglomerate, spanning mining, sourcing, production, distribution, and retail of gemstones, diamonds, and jewellery. His dedication extends beyond business—KGK Group is actively engaged in philanthropy, supporting various social causes and uplifting communities.

For Kothari, giving back is a way of life. Guided by his belief that helping others is a vital aspect of human existence, he established the Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Jaipur in 1996, aiming to make a difference in as many lives as possible. His commitment to societal betterment resonates in his words: "It’s difficult to be born as a human being. If you are not able to help others, it’s a sheer wastage of life."

This Lifetime Achievement Award not only acknowledges his impact on the gems and jewellery industry but also celebrates his lasting legacy as a visionary, a leader, and a humanitarian.
