GIA Museum to host Best in Platinum exhibition for the first time in US

The exhibition will include 17 award winning platinum designs

The Sri Lanka National Gem and Jewelry Authority (NGJA) said that during the eleven months of 2007 its overall gem and jewellery exports increased by 15% from last year, to value at Rs 47.02 billion. Exports of gem studded jewellery hiked by 25%, and that of diamond studded jewellery by 19%, for the said period. Prompted by this rise in export trade, the NGJA is targeting an overall exports earnings of $1 billion for 2008.
