Surat's diamond traders to focus on domestic market demand

Demand for diamond studded jewellery seems to be increasing in the domestic market

The Gitanjali Group has created a new trade event for the luxury segment, entitled ‘Gitanjali Luxury Style Fest’. The first edition is going to be held at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) in Mumbai, between 22-25th December. %%Business networking will be conducted in an environment which features an elite taste for glamour and entertainment. The event would have fashion shows a race-day viewing, thematic performances, and post show parties. Mr Mehul Choksi, Chairman, Gitanjali Group said, “The Gitanjali Group has always displayed a long standing and deep-rooted commitment towards development of the luxury industry and market in India. The Gitanjali Luxury Style Fest 2007 is a synchronised effort to develop a common arena for leading luxury brands to come together and create an unforgettable experience around a niche audience.”%%Some of the prominent partners at the event would be K. Raheja Universal Pvt. Ltd., Gold Expressions, RWITC, Morellato & Sector, Nina Ricci, Marvin, Stafan Hafnar by Giantti, Mumbai Internal Boat Show & Nakshatra. Also, fashion shows would feature designer wear by Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis, JJ Valaya, Arjun Khanna, Manish Arora, Wendell Rodricks to name a few. Participation is through invitation which is expected to touch 10,000 visitors.
