The third quarter of 2007 has churned a growth for Dubai’s diamond trade. Dubai's total trade in rough diamonds during the said period rose by 31% to value at $1.08 billion, as compared to the same period in 2006. Rough imports recorded a 32% hike to amount to $447.6 million, compared to the same quarter in 2006. Also, exports of roughs rose by 30% to value at $640.2 million over last year's $490.5 million.
