The ICA International Gem Show Dubai 2008, is attracting more participation and the venue seems almost fully booked, as the show draws near. As noted by the show organisers, International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA), delegations from India, China, Russia and Turkey have also confirmed participation, amongst others. %% The Turkish delegation, led by Fazil Ozen, president of the Gemstone Dealers Association of Turkey (MUTAD) and ICA's Ambassador to Turkey, is keenly looking at this opportunity to expand business ties with the Dubai, which is gaining importance in commodity trading for the Middle East region. MUTAD was established in 2006 in order to encourage gemstone trading in Turkey through information dissemination, education, protecting consumer confidence and promoting cooperation between its members. "A gem show focusing on ethical trade is a very important need for the market. Turkish jewelers who use large quantities of gemstones are looking forward to improve their trading through this important event," said Ozen. %% The Show, held under the patronage of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), expects to invite exhibitors from 19countries including Australia, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Tanzania, Thailand and the USA, will display loose gemstones, pearls and finished jewellery. %% The schedule for the Show has been determined between October 13-15, 2008 at the 5-star venue, the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel.
