Lagu Bandhu launches a new store in Borivali, Mumbai

The 76-year-old jeweller has increased its retail presence by inaugurating a new store in the Mumbai suburb, Borivali. Located near the railway station with ample parking space, the store is sure to attract a large number of patrons.

Export of gem and jewellery from India in November 2008 reduced by 34.25 percent to US$ 987.10 million. Cut and polished diamonds were exported less in the month, amounting to US$510.41 million and reducing by 45.94 percent over US$900 million in November 2007. %% Rough diamond exports amounted to US$42.75 million. Coloured gemstones were also less exported falling by 9 percent over US$19.61 million, while gold jewellery followed suit with a dip of 17 percent to US$396 million.
