The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) India held a commencement ceremony on April 10 for students who have earned the Graduate Diamond (G.D.) diploma. The honours were handed down by Pratish Popat, Partner with Jasraj Kalianji, who served as Chief Guest at the event. %% “GIA's G.D. diploma is regarded as the industry's most prestigious academic and professional credential in diamonds,” Popat said. Manoj Singhania, School Director, GIA India further added, “In the Graduate Diamond course, which lasts up to seven weeks, students master GIA’s International Diamond Grading System by working with real diamonds, under the trained eye of a professional instructor. Other courses that are in high demand include the Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and the Accredited Jewelry Professional (A.J.P.) diploma programmes.” %% The graduation ceremony was followed by a GIA India Laboratory tour.
