Mr. Ramit Kapur, General Manager, IGI said – “Today we are living in the world of Google. The consumer has access to information on diamonds sitting in their living room. The jewellers need to gear up for the Generation Y & Z shoppers. Hence, having a thorough understanding of their product, backed by professional sales techniques is the need of the hour for jewellery houses”. %% The IGI has structured its ‘Sales Development Program’ as practical hands-on training course blending product knowledge and effective sales techniques. It educates on standards of diamond grading, coloured stone identification & effective sales techniques, diamond formation, identification of imitations and synthetics, gemstones and pearl, types of jewellery, branding and market trends and reading and understanding reports. Selling skills and Management aspects, understanding customer’s demand, window display factors, communication skills and care of jewellery are part of the course content. %% The course conducted for Reliance Jewels was well received, leaving participants with enhanced knowledge about sales in the gem and jewellery industry.
