National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has discovered a diamond weighing 34.37 carats at the Panna mines in Madhya Pradesh, India and has sealed it, reports say. NMDC describes the pear-shaped white gem-quality diamond as one of extremely good quality and the biggest diamond it has sourced so far. %% The diamond is expected to be auctioned at Panna soon. The commercial value of the stone has not been determined so far, reports say.
