International Gemological Institute has completed four editions of its “Polish Diamond Grading’ course so far this year in Surat, meeting the increasing interest by diamantaires to conform to international standards of grading and to learn at such professional courses. %% IGI hosted a graduation ceremony on completion of the course, on June 11, 2010 at the IGI School of Gemology, Surat, where students were presented with diplomas issued from IGI Antwerp, Belgium. Mr. Deepak Choksi from D. Khushalbhai Jewellers, a leading personality in the trade in Gujarat, presented the diplomas. On the occasion, Mr. Ramit Kapur, General Manager, IGI India said – “The trade in Surat has always been keen to receive international education and the IGI team is always passionate to give their best to this diamond manufacturing hub.” %% The ‘Polished Diamond Grading’ course spanned 10 days and attended by a batch of 13 graders including diamantaires, brokers and enthusiasts. The course delivered comprehensive and practical knowledge on International diamond grading, and about diamond grading intricacies like 4C’s, treatments, synthetics and pricing.
