The IGI School of Gemology is continuing strengthening the quality of gem and jewellery training and education in India, and recently awarded graduation diplomas to 45 students upon them completing various courses under the School’s curriculum including - Polished Diamond Grading Course, Diamond Graduate Course, Colored Stone Graduate Course, Professional Jewelry Design Program (CAD), Jewelry Design Graduate, Rough Diamond Grading, Diamond Assortment & Mounted Jewelry Grading and Graduate Gemologist. %% The diplomas were handed over by Mr. Mahesh Notandas, Notandas Jewellers - the guest of honor, at the ceremony held on August 6, 2010, in Mumbai. The diplomas were issued from IGI headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium. Mr. Notandas said – “ The Industry is on a path of growth and always on the lookout for budding talent. There was no organized medium to train the young talent in this field. Today IGI is conducting these professional programs for young enthusiasts which brings in a lot of confidence in the industry.” %% Mr. Tehmasp Printer, Managing Director, IGI - India said, “It has been our objective to provide young professionals with international education and training to equip them with an edge in the market place.” IGI School of Gemology has been instrumental in conducting professional grading courses across India since 1999 and has trained over 8700 students so far.
