The International Gemological Institute (IGI) will offer four of its talented School of Gemology alumni the chance to send their designs down the runway at India International Jewellery Week (IIJW). IGI is also the ‘Powered by’ partner at IIJW 2013, to promote and encourage this platform along with GJEPC.%% The four individuals, all graduates of IGI’s Jewellery Design Program are partnered with well-known jewellery manufacturers to produce their custom works. Their creations, influenced by both contemporary patterns and classic designs will be shown at the New Delhi fashion show on 12 April 2013, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The selected participants completed the IGI Jewellery Design Program in Mumbai – Namita Naik designed with Anaya Jewels, Sakshi Dhameliya designed with Gehna Jewellers, Hetvi Jasani designed for Ashi Jewellery pvt ltd and the fourth alumna, Vidhi Chaudhary designed with Khurana Jewellery House. “We developed the curriculum to foster high levels of expertise and that was evident in the incredible designs created by our four alumni,” said Tehmasp Printer, managing director of IGI. “IGI actively nurtures the bonds between past and present students and the diamond and jewellery, often resulting in practical career opportunities for our students.”%%
