The Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA) list of governors has been churned, and two new professionals would join the list while four existing governors would be leaving office. Dione D. Kenyon and Frederick N. Levinger are the new appointments at GIA, and both will begin their office as governors at the next board meeting to be held Nov. 10-11.
The four GIA governors who will be retiring in November, after completion of their eligible membership include Nancy Brewer of Nancy B. and Co., George Rossman, Ph.D., of the California Institute of Technology, Lee Michael Berg of Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry and Michael Kazanjian of Kazanjian Bros. Inc.
Dione D. Kenyon has over 30 years of experience in industry and presently is director of the Women's Jewelry Association, the Jewelers Vigilance Committee and the Boston Jewelers Club. She is also a member of the 24 Karat Club of New York and the Providence Jewelers Club.
Levinger was the owner and CEO of the Colibri Group for 30 years, the director at Fleet National Bank for 15 years, and a member of the 24 Karat Club of New York, as also on the board of directors for The Plumb Club and the JBT.
