The Lotus Lounge is a bridal special, catering to high-end customers, and meant to pamper brides-to-be – it is the ultimate destination for wedding jewellery, N Anandha Ramanujam, Director, NAC Jewellers, tells Suneeta Kaul
Shopping for bridal jewellery in Chennai? There are several options, of course. And then there is NAC Jewellers, and its exclusive bridal lounge, the Lotus Lounge. Meant to give a premium experience to customers, specially brides-to-be, NAC has created the Lotus Lounge within its flagship store in T.Nagar, Chennai. It features the company’s signature bridal collections, all in one place.
Idea behind the Lotus Lounge
So, what prompted NAC Jewellers to come out with such a concept?
“The idea behind the Lotus Lounge is to bring luxury back to jewellery,” says N Anandha Ramanujam, Director, NAC Jewellers. “The Lounge features our finest signature collections and bridal designs, replete with dedicated sections for diamond and solitaire jewellery, and a private silver lounge with high-end silver home decor. The 4,000-sq ft lounge features our signature bridal collections rendered by skilled artisans and in-house designers. It provides a unique shopping experience that caters to the needs of high-end customers,” he adds.
The very look of the Lounge spells luxury and opulence. The décor is such as to reassure patrons that they have come to the right place. It is the perfect environment for a young bride to dream of her big day, and visualize as to how she will look on the D-Day.
Providing more details, Ramanujam says, “We wanted to refurbish the brand in a grand fashion, strategizing the look and feel. This is why we came out with the Lotus Lounge concept. When customers come to buy wedding jewellery, and they step into the Lounge, they know they are in for an experience. Right from helping the bride-to-be to choose the designs, to trials, we provide all the facilities.”
There’s also a high-end private silver lounge, which is part of the Lotus Lounge. It features high-end silver articles and home décor, and adds to the overall glamorous look and feel of the bridal lounge.
The kind of jewellery available in the Lounge
“The Lounge features our signature collections and our rewind collection, which is our genuine antique jewellery, where each piece is about 80-100 years old. Then there is our Maharani collection, which features polki made with uncut diamonds, jadau with intricate gold framework, Victorian jewellery inspired by the British Raj, and kemp jewellery, which is rooted in South Indian traditions,” explains Ramanujam.
The Lounge also features a wide range of gold bridal jewellery sourced from all across India. It has a huge collection of diamond bridal jewellery and specially designed traditional setting jewellery, also known as close setting and open close setting. Besides, there is a range of solitaire jewellery and NAC’s famous red carpet-collection, Fabula, which is a collection of jewellery made with fancy diamonds.
NAC has worked hard to promote the Lotus Lounge. “We have resorted to many ways to do the promotions, including social media, influencer campaigns, celebrity promotions, and so forth. The response has been fantastic -- whoever has visited the Lounge has said they were just delighted with it. Visitors have been in awe of the collections, and the experience as a whole,” says Ramanujam.
Going forward, NAC Jewellers plans to expand the range of jewellery it offers in the Lotus Lounge. “Our mission is to provide the best of jewellery with the best of workmanship to our customers. We also look to expand our silver jewellery business, as we see interest for silver jewellery growing,” Ramanujam signs off.
