Founder at Shree Ramkrishna Exports and SRK Knowledge Foundation, Govind Dholakia along with a few friends planted few saplings at Ubharat, near Navsari of Surat as a part of The Tree Plantation Drive organised by SRK Knowledge Foundation few days ago. The entire SRK Family members had actively taken part and planted saplings during the Tree Plantation Drive. This event of planting saplings in early monsoon is a step towards the plantation of 1 lakh trees by the organisation on 300 acres of land at Ubharat. This initiative has been taken to create a green zone in the area. A noteworthy fact is that a monument on Shreemad Bhagavad Geeta named ‘Geeta Vatika’ too is being planned to be setup in the area where the tree plantation drive was carried out. Geeta Vatika is proposed to be the Knowledge Center and the Influential Body to enable the Bhagavad Geeta to be in practical application in the current 21st century. The event is a small step towards environmental sustainability efforts taken by the organization. Earlier in the month, Dholakia had organised a Parivarotsav event on World Environment Day which was graced by Param Pujya Gyanvatsal Swami who spoke about the essence of family bonding and love.
