Grand Jury of 11th edition of JJS-IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards powered by GIA all set to unfold

An eminent panel of jury will handpick winning pieces from over 120 shortlisted pieces

The grand jury of the 11th edition of the JJS-IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards powered by GIA is all set to be held in Jaipur at Sofitel Hotel on December 4.

The event is held every year to celebrate and acknowledge the prodigious talent of jewellery designers all over India. The Awards are a tribute to the designers, enabling them to showcase their talent and let their work speak for them.

The designs will be assessed by a jury panel comprising accomplished professionals from various fields. The jury members include: Rajiv Jain, Chairman Sambhav Gems & Secretary, JJS; Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director, Education and Market Development, GIA India; Latika Khosla, Founder-Director, Freedom Tree Design; Varuna D Jani, Jewellery Designer & Adornologist; Shuchi Pandya, CEO, Pipabella.com; Niharika Bhasin, Award-winning Costume Designer; Arjun Rathi, Architect & Lighting Designer; and Sahiba Madan, Founder, Kalakaari Haath.

This year, new features and new categories are being introduced, with some of them being Pearl Jewellery (for jewellery manufacturers); Theme-based Jewellery of the Year, with the themes ranging from Sea Life to Best Bridal Design in Gold and Diamonds (for jewellery retailers); and GIA Emerging Designer of the Year (for students). Over 500 entries have been received this year from all across the country, and the jury will select the winning pieces from over 120 shortlisted pieces.

The IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards is organized by the Indian Jeweller Magazine, presented by the Jaipur Jewellery Show and powered by GIA. The category partners include Radhika Jewels for Temple Jewellery and Geeta Shyam Jewellers for Best Bridal Designs. The logistics partner will be BVC Logistics, with the media partner being the Diamond World magazine.
