Uma Ornaments was founded by Sumit Kamalia in 2003 and with his zeal and passion, the company has grown from a small manufacturing setup to a large production house - having spread its presence across India. Today, the company’s manufacturing unit is situated in MIDC, Andheri east. It is about 4000 sq-ft and is fully equipped for making diamond jewellery from good quality waxing, casting, polishing and laser machines. They also have a very skilled micro setting department.

Catering to India’s top retailers with world-class jewellery

With nearly 18 years of experience in production of exquisite diamond jewellery Uma Ornaments has been catering to over 150 retailers across 66 cities, specialising in light to mid-range fine couture or fusion jewellery. Their focus is on creative designing, timely deliveries, maintaining high quality standards and complete transparency.  At Uma Ornaments they pay special attention to the current market trends and supply the very best to their customers.

Skilled workforce
They have a strength of 150 skilled artisans and around 50 persons as office staff. Unlike many others, Uma ornaments is a first generation business owned by Sumit Kamalia who always had a penchant for business. Says Sumit Kamalia, “We have been fortunate to have an extremely dedicated and hardworking team, their constant efforts and motivation is the reason behind such growth. Where creativity shines through

Uma Ornaments specialises in catering to all clients in light to mid-range fine couture as well as functional fusion jewellery. Their focus is on creative designing along with maintaining high quality standards, furnishing on time deliveries with complete transparency. They have a creative product design team which comprises of design and CAD departments. The design team formulates the idea's into mesmerizing designs, and then the CAD team further modulates those designs into interesting 3D forms of jewellery. After the piece is finally approved by the product design department, it further goes into 3D caming, waxing, casting, polishing, finishing, diamond setting and so on, resulting in the final piece of jewellery. Their designers and craftsmen pay utmost attention to QC done at every step of the way to achieve the highest standards of jewellery possible.  

Every season, many of their pieces turn out to be fast selling and they work really well in the market, the reason behind the same is their design team that is always up-to-date with market trends and efficiently turns those trends into functional jewellery pieces.

Inspiring designs
Their design team draws inspiration from elements around them and the company also tries to provide them with a creative environment that helps to bring out the best in them. “Uma ornaments, we have also just like everybody else tried to stay focused and power through these difficult times. The constant support and courage of our team has helped in making these times easier,” explains Kamalia.
