Jaipur's Jewellers Launch Tree Plantation Drive In Sitapura Export Zones

The Sitapura Gems & Jewellery Industry Association conducted a tree plantation campaign at the two SEZs on 21st July by persuading every worker from each factory to plant at least one tree in all the gems and jewellery manufacturing zones.

The chief guest at the event was Ashok Lahoti, Local MLA from the Sanganer Vidhan Sabha area. Other distinguished guests were Puneet Karnawat, Deputy Mayor of Jaipur Nagar Nigam, (Greater) and Rajiv Arora, Director of Amrapali Jewels and Vice President, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.

The tree plantation drive also included the garden area of SEZ II. The two SEZs in Sitapura have been opened to multiple products, but are still populated almost exclusively by gem and jewellery manufacturing units.
