UBM launches the Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair UBM the world’s leading organizer of B2B jewellery and gem fairs is delighted to announce the launch of the Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair. The first edition of the show will be held from 9- 11 December 2011 in Mumbai.
“This launch is a direct response to the market, who have requested that UBM come into Mumbai with a show for the key buying season at the beginning of the year. They recognize the unmatched quality and professionalism of the UBM events in India and around the world” said Jime Essink, President & Chief Executive Officer, UBM Asia.
In addition to its global portfolio of jewellery fairs including the world’s largest event: The Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair which takes place in September, UBM already organise the two leading shows in the south of India: GJIIE (Gems & Jewellery India International Exhibition) in Chennai and HJF (Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl & Gem Fair). Together these shows attract over 400 trade exhibitors and 18,000 trade visitors and are growing quickly on the back of domestic growth of over 40% per year. The Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair will be a B2B jewellery trade event to take place in the pulsating and thriving city of Mumbai. The fair will have exhibitors of Diamonds, Pearls, Gemstones, Silver Jewellery, fine finished jewellery, Machinery & Equipment, Software and allied products, Packaging & display from all over India and the world. The fair will attract jewellery wholesalers, retailers, exporters, importers, jewellery manufacturers, diamond and gemstones suppliers, allied products and service providers trade & government organizations and international sourcing delegates. Being the peak tourist season, the month of December with its cool climate is ideal and well timed to bring in the Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair 2011.
