Stepping into the 15th edition, the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) is slated to be bigger and better than ever. Scheduled from 21st to 24th December at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), the show will offer the magnificence of gems and jewellery industry and expand its horizons. JJS is the country’s largest B2C and second largest B2B Jewellery show.

Held annually in December, aptly named ‘The December Show’ has fast become one of the most recognized jewellery expositions in the country. Today, JJS marks the perfect blend of contemporary and ethnic designs, modified to suit demands in domestic as well as international markets. A special feature of JJS is that one can find precious and semi-precious stone, silver artifacts, machinery to jewellery institutions – all under one roof.

This year, over 40,000 domestic and outstation visitors are expected to witness the grand show. Not only this, JJS this year will also witness international participation from Poland, the U.S., Bangkok and China. Top 500 retailers of the country have already confirmed their participation. The show will include more than 800 stalls. To smoothly facilitate the B2B meetings, the show has already earmarked exclusive B2B hours from 10 am to 1.30 pm on all 4 days.

The theme of the show has always been a special feature of the show and this year the theme for JJS is ‘Reflection of Royalty and Creativity’. In the past years, the themes have been centralised on different stones and jewellery items including rubies, emeralds, tanzanite, kundan meena, gems and diamond jewellery.

To go back to its genesis – JJS had a humble beginning in 2003 with only 67 stalls at Entertainment Paradise (EP). However, it has witnessed sustained growth owing to encouraging response, interaction, and zeal of the participants. This year over 800 stalls have already been booked.

JJS has also left no stones turned in ensuring total security for the high value products on display with large number of CCTV cameras, placed at vantage points with security agency personnel ensuring foolproof arrangements. A business center will also be set up to facilitate organizers as well as exhibitors of the show. Members of the media will also be provided with a ‘Media Centre’ well equipped with adequate facilities.

‘JJS-IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards’ is a much looked forward event of the Show. On 21st December a glittering ceremony will be held at Hotel Crowne Plaza where the awards will be given away to the exceptional talents from the gems and jewellery industry. Year after year, this award has honoured the country’s best in design and creativity. A grand jury will meet in November in Mumbai to shortlist the creative designs from a large number of design entries across India. The who’s who of the gems and Jewellery industry as well as wellknown models and Bollywood stars will be attending the event.

JJS will feature a design festival to promote creativity and branding.The Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF), which started in 2017, will be held in the same premises in JECC. JJS has emerged as an important forum for learning and disseminating technical knowledge and skills through its ‘Knowledge Sessions’.

It is to be noted that the Board of Directors meeting of All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) will also be held during the show in Jaipur.

People get the exclusive opportunity to see the latest in fashion from traditional heavy gold ornaments to light weight jewellery. The show will showcase an array of designs crafted in yellow and white gold, studded with fancy cut colour gemstones. Shoppers will also be delighted with affordable items of jewellery due to light weight and innovative use of colour stones. The show will have a smooth entry procedure in place, facilitated with authorized passes at the registration desk.
