Traders in the gems and jewellery sector will benefit the most
The International Cargo Terminal at Jaipur International Airport has become functional since its recent launch. Rahul Nangre, commissioner of customs (preventive) at Jaipur, inaugurated the terminal which is managed by AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Ltd. At the inauguration ceremony, Parul Singhal, deputy commissioner (customs) for Jaipur, OP Khurana, regional manager for cargo (NR/WR), Charan Singh CIC, AAI Jaipur, Jarain Edward, DGM (cargo) for Jaipur were present.
Nangre said, “There is immense potential for direct import and export from Jaipur Air Cargo terminal and with the commencement of this terminal all the importers and exporters of Rajasthan will benefit, especially those involved in gems and jewellery business. There shall be an increase in export-import of items such as fabrics clothes, handicrafts, machinery parts, vegetables and other items due to commencement of operations of this terminal.” News courtesy to Times of India, Jaipur Edition.
