The best IIGJ Chairman’s Trophy was awarded to Shiv Chandan, Ms. Oneza Chauhan was declared the second runner up and Ms. Kushali Patel was announced as the third runner up for their consistent performance during their course.
On February 14, 2017 members of the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) gathered with students, their family, and friends to celebrate Convocation. On this day, the students of Diploma Batch 10th were declared graduates at the D.Navinchandra Auditorium at IIGJ, Andheri East.
The presence of Chief Guest - PremKumar Kothari – Chairman - GJSCI, Mrs. Namita Pandya – Convenor IIGJ Tardeo, Director IIGJ, Nirmal Kumar Barmecha – Director IIGJ and Sanjoy Ghosh - Head IIGJ graced the occasion.
The ceremony commenced with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries with saraswati vandana. Further Mrs. Namita Pandaya welcomed the chief guest PremKumar Kothari presenting a bouquet of flowers. HOI –Sanjoy Ghosh introduced the chief guest as a Director of fine Jewellery and Chairman of Gems and Jewellery Skills Council of India and congratulated the students with words of encouragement. Students were then invited onstage to share their experience about the learning years.
Then the best performers of D10 were announced. The best IIGJ Chairman’s Trophy was awarded to Shiv Chandan, Ms. Oneza Chauhan was declared the second runner up and Ms. Kushali Patel was announced as the third runner up for their consistent performance during their course.
Mrs. Namita Pandya – Convenor IIGJ Tardeo, Director IIGJ encouraged the students and made the students aware about the growing competition in the industry through her speech. The Chief Guest –Prem Kumar Kothari Chairman- GJSCI was then invited to guide the passing students. Through his speech he encouraged the students and built their confidence. His speech made students feel proud to be a part of this Institute. The vote of Thanks was delivered by Nirmal Kumar Barmecha – Director IIGJ.
