Online jewellery major Blue Nile has included 12 additional countries within Europe and Asia-Pacific to ship its products. Shoppers across the globe have a choice of sending gifts to Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan, in addition to the existing zones in US, Canada, UK and Ireland.%%According to CEO Mark Vadon, " This launch allows us to build off of the success we have seen in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. and, most of all, provides us with the opportunity to offer unmatched quality, selection, service and value to the more than 400 million residents in these markets. He also said, “We are excited about introducing the Blue Nile brand into these 12 new markets and will look to this expansion as a basis for pursuing future opportunities as we build out our business overseas." Blue Nile had earned a 100% rise in its international sales figures, which touched, to $17.2 million in 2007.
