Lab services to be displayed include GIA Alumni Collective, the digital GIA Diamond Dossier®, the new GIA mobile app, GIA Match iD™ device, the GIA® Source Verification Service; and remote learning and blended programmes in educational services
GIA India Laboratory Private Limited (GIA India) will showcase its latest laboratory and education offerings at the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) 2022 from August 4-8 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. These include the re-energised GIA Alumni Collective, the digital GIA Diamond Dossier®, the new GIA mobile app, GIA Match iD™ device, the GIA® Source Verification Service, and a new approach to gem education through remote learning and blended programmes.
Visitors can step into booth # 106A in hall # 1, to witness the newly imagined GIA App as well as the GIA Match iD™ instrument. Engineered to pair seamlessly with the new GIA App, the GIA Match iD™ captures a diamond’s inscription image and links the diamond to its digital GIA report using proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) technology. In addition, visitors will learn about the GIA® Source Verification Service that provides a diamond’s source information to consumers. This is achieved by leveraging existing processes based on third-party verified documents, including Kimberley Process certificates and invoices provided by diamond manufacturers and other stakeholders in the supply chain.
Sriram Natarajan, Managing Director of GIA India, said, “IIJS has been an important destination for visitors to explore new collections and replenish their inventories ahead of the wedding and festive seasons. This IIJS, visitors can expect a host of innovative offerings at our booth – right from the new GIA app and the GIA Match iD™ device to proprietary provenance programmes such as the GIA Diamond Origin Program and the GIA® Source Verification Service. We invite all members of the trade to come visit us at our booth and experience this transformation.”
Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director – Education and Market Development, GIA India, said, “Through the Institute’s 90-year-history, GIA’s commitment to gemmological and professional education continues to get stronger. We’re pleased to make our research-backed curriculum more accessible to working professionals and business owners using innovative pedagogic formats combining remote learning with in-class, instructor-led hands-on practice. We’re glad that IIJS 2022 has enabled us to bring forth our re-energised alumni forum - the GIA Alumni Collective - and meet with all GIA alumni chapters in India under one single roof.”
