2nd Edition of LDJS 2022 Concludes on an Optimistic Note

Over 25,000 visitors conducted business worth over INR 5,000 crore at the expo

The 2nd edition of the Lab Grown Diamond & Jewellery Exhibition “LDJS 2022” was held from August 5 to 8, 2022 at the JIO World Convention Center in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. Inaugurated with much fanfare on August 5, 2022, the Lab-Grown Diamond and Jewellery Promotion Council or LGDJPC's “LDJS 2022” is “India’s Biggest Lab Grown Diamonds & Jewellery exhibition for Indian & International Jewellers.” Spread across 5000 sq.mt., LDJS 2022 had more than 100 exhibitors showcasing their varied range of diamonds and jewellery to the buyers and visitors. It had 9 countries participating in it & 12 Interactive Trade Sessions and Fashion Shows, with models walking the ramp showcasing an array of LGDJS from various manufacturers and exhibitors from India and across the globe.

The exposition reported huge success with more than 25,000 visitors turning up at the expo over four days. Global and national buyers made purchases of lab grown diamonds and jewelleries worth INR 5,000 crores from Indian LGDJs manufacturers exhibiting in this exposition. A confirmed order book sales of 700 crores was finalised and signed at the expo itself with most of the buyers hailing from across Southern India, London and Thailand.

Around INR 4,300 crores worth of purchase has been orally confirmed and is in process. Most of the buyers for this were from Singapore, Hongkong, Middle East, Delhi and Delhi NCR. From the above total mentioned numbers, the biggest deal was bagged by Banderi Lab Grown Diamonds and the biggest orders from that company were claimed by buyers of Middle East.

Speaking at the occasion Shashikanth Dalichand Shah, Chairperson, Lab Grown Diamond & Jewellery Promotion Council said, “We are extremely delighted by this tremendous response for this edition. The buyers and visitors were delighted to have such a wide range of LGDs manufactured from India to chose from. Even the various interactive sessions organised by us gave a deep insights to the buyers.”

Rajesh Bajaj, Convenor, Lab Grown Diamond & Jewellery Promotion Council said “ This is a dream come true moment not only for the Council but the entire LGDJs market in India. This response will boost the council to do much better in our forthcoming editions. In fact today on the closing day,we already had more than half of the exhibitors confirming their participation for the next edition & requesting us to organise it as soon as possible.”
