Sriram Natarajan, Managing Director of GIA India said, “The introduction of the Comprehensive CAD/CAM for Jewellery Certificate programme in India marks an important milestone for GIA India. Our education programmes translate in-depth knowledge into practical skills to teach and train the next generation of jewellery leaders and professionals.”

Upon completion of the programme, students will earn the GIA Comprehensive CAD/CAM for Jewelry Certificate, which will equip them with skills required for careers in jewellery design, product development, and as CAD technicians.

Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director – Education and Market Development, GIA India said, “The introduction of the Comprehensive CAD/CAM for Jewelry Certificate programme in India is an important step in equipping students with the necessary skills to become professionals in this field, ensuring that they stay relevant and competitive in the ever-evolving jewellery industry. There has been continued interest from the Indian gem and jewellery industry for the Comprehensive CAD/CAM programme; after receiving their feedback, we are pleased to introduce the programme in India. With CAD/CAM being a critical skill in the jewellery industry, this programme provides a great opportunity for individuals to advance their careers.”

The GIA Comprehensive CAD/CAM for Jewellery Certificate Program is a great extension to GIA's Jewellery Design programme and can also be pursued independently. “We firmly believe that by providing the combination of manual design and CAD/CAM in India, there will be a talent pool of well-rounded jewellery design professionals in the industry,” added Apoorva.
