Organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, this debut underscores Italy's commitment to enhancing bilateral trade relations and bolstering commercial opportunities in Singapore and across the ASEAN region.

The opening ceremony of the Italian Pavilion was graced by Guest of Honour Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry & Culture, Community, and Youth; His Excellency Dante Brandi, Ambassador of Italy to Singapore and Brunei; and Giorgio Calveri, Trade Commissioner, Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Singapore.

The Italian Pavilion at SIJE 2024 stands as a highlight, showcasing the craftsmanship and innovation of 14 distinguished Italian master jewellers. These artisans are presenting their latest collections, featuring meticulously crafted gold necklaces, intricately cut gemstones, and unique designs that epitomize Italy's legacy of excellence in jewellery.

Accompanying these master jewellers are established Italian brands such as Leonori, Massimo Raiteri, Ora d'Italia (comprising nine brands), and Zydo, bringing the total Italian presence to over 20 brands at SIJE 2024. The Pavilion serves as a focal point for promoting Italian jewellery's quality and authenticity to a discerning audience of buyers and enthusiasts from around the world.

To facilitate business connections and expand market access, ITA has brought 19 buyers from key markets including Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. These buyers will engage with Italian exhibitors under the Pavilion, fostering new partnerships and collaborations.

SIJE 2024, recognized as the premier jewellery exhibition in Singapore and the region, features over 300 brands from 28 countries. The inclusion of the Italian Pavilion enriches the event, adding European sophistication and attracting industry leaders seeking Italian craftsmanship and design excellence.

Italy's robust presence at SIJE 2024 reflects its strategic focus on the Southeast Asian luxury market. With jewellery exports to Singapore reaching new heights in 2023, Italy has solidified its position as a leading jewellery exporter within the European Union. The Pavilion and associated activities aim to further strengthen Italy's foothold in Singapore and enhance its trade relations across ASEAN.

"The Italian Pavilion at SIJE 2024 is a testament to Italy's longstanding reputation for exquisite jewellery craftsmanship and design innovation," remarked Dante Brandi, Ambassador of Italy to Singapore and Brunei. "We invite visitors to experience the artistry and elegance of Italian jewellery and explore the opportunities for collaboration and growth in this dynamic market."

The Italian Lounge, complementing the Pavilion, will host exclusive B2B meetings, facilitating deeper engagement between Italian and Singaporean businesses. These interactions are poised to foster enduring partnerships and drive mutual prosperity in the jewellery sector.

As Italy continues to showcase its finest at SIJE 2024, the Pavilion promises to be a hub of creativity, elegance, and business opportunity, reinforcing Italy's commitment to excellence in the global jewellery market.
