The All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) unveiled a sparkling new chapter at the 7th edition of the India Gem and Jewellery Show (GJS) by announcing Nikita Porwal, Femina Miss India World 2024, as the official Brand Ambassador for 2025–2026
The announcement took centre stage during an elegant ceremony at the Privilege Lounge, Pavilion 3, inside Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, where GJS is currently underway from April 4–7, 2025. The event coincides with the auspicious season of Akshaya Tritiya and Gudi Padwa, timed perfectly with India’s peak wedding buying season.
Nikita Porwal, dressed in a sleek black ensemble and wearing a regal crown adorned with pieces by Shree HariSiddhi Jewellers, embodied the grace and modern elegance that GJC aims to showcase globally. Her role as ambassador will see her champion India’s vibrant gem and jewellery heritage at both national and international levels.
GJC Chairman Rajesh Rokde shared his excitement at the announcement: "Nikita Porwal is not only a symbol of beauty and grace but also of purpose and vision. Her values mirror those of our organisation. We are confident that this partnership will elevate India’s position on the global jewellery map."
Vice Chairman Avinash Gupta echoed the sentiment, highlighting the broader implications of the collaboration: "GJC’s mission has always been to celebrate Indian craftsmanship. With Nikita’s global appeal and influence, we are poised to spotlight our artisans' brilliance to the world."
Sharing her thoughts on the honour, Nikita Porwal said, "Representing GJC is both an honour and a responsibility. India’s jewellery is more than adornment—it’s art, history, and identity. I’m excited to take this story to a global stage."
The GJS 2025 show, branded under the theme #HumaraApnaShow, is hosting over 400 exhibitors and drawing industry leaders, international buyers, and connoisseurs from across the globe. With dazzling displays, innovation showcases, and networking opportunities, the event reinforces India’s role as a global leader in the gem and jewellery sector.
As the curtains rise on this prestigious event, all eyes are on Nikita Porwal and the shining future of India’s jewellery industry.
