Kimberley Diamond Co., has recovered the first ever pink diamond to be found at Ellendale. The 1.58 carat diamond, is expected to be worth $20,000 a carat as a rough and between $30-40,000 afetr being polished.

Kimberley has kept an optimistic outlook and predicts the diamond prices to continually accelerate in view of the global demand exceeding supply, over the next 10 years or until new deposits are discovered and they be at the production stage. Kimberley has recorded a production throughput of 100,000 tonnes, during a four-day period in September.
