The endless list of attendee registration vouch for the fact that the second edition of the Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair (MJGF), schedules to be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from 5th to 7th January 2013, is geared up to be a landmark event to kick off the new year with panache. It is sure to witness a record level of attendance from retailers, wholesalers and distributors of the large gem and jewellery industry of India. %% “Building on the solid launch last year, our significant increase in marketing activity coupled with a more positive market means we expect to see significantly increased visitor levels in January. UBM now has four B2B jewellery shows in India which together attract over 30,000 key buyers and over 800 exhibitors from India and beyond, our shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad mean that we can leverage our local relationships to bring key retailers to the show,” said Kranti Nagvekar, Group Director for UBM’s Indian jewellery portfolio. %% Satiating the bottomless demands of India’s whopping US$27.12 billion jewellery market, MJGF is scheduled to take place before the key marriage buying season. The immaclate timing of this fair is yet another reason for its large registration and high attendance. With Mumbai perpetually engulfed in heat and humididty, the January schedule will be a cool respite making this fair more enjoyable. %% Having linked to over 500 key retail, wholesale and industry associations which as a whole represent the key players in the industry, UBM jewellery fairs are always a hit. MJGF is slated to once again work in partnership with the Mumbai Wholesale Gold Jewellers Association which boasts a strong membership of 800 members.
