Located in the up-market Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad, the store opened doors to its customers in April 2017. Commenting on the launch of their flagship store, Abhishek Chanda, Director, Kalasha Fine Jewels said “Kalasha is pure and Kalasha is Divine. The Store
Spread over 6500 sq ft, the store is divided in 3 levels - Level 1: Diamond and Jadau Jewellery counters along with Nizami and Designer Lounges; Level 2: Gold & Temple Jewellery with Silver Enclosure; and Level 3: Exhibition Area & Back office. Looking at the expanse and the variety of jewellery, artifacts on offer; this store is no less to a minijewellery kingdom in itself.
Talking about the spaces in the store Abhishek said “There are some pockets planned in the 1st and 2nd levels of store, now adorned with decorative elements. These spaces can be later converted to sales areas depending on the customer footfalls and business operational requirements. Also, it can be used to introduce new product lines such as branded watches.” Being a standalone building, the store has all the flexibility to handle any kind of changes in retailing and to tackle future requirement of the industry.
Planned over 1500 sq ft, the exhibition area on the 3rd level has been created with a special intention and the intention is to garner more interest in the store which would culminate into more sales. While talking about the idea of exhibition area Abhishek said “It is planned for various fashion designers and artists across the globe to showcase their collection, to conduct workshops on awareness of jewellery, to host seasonal jewellery “melas” / trunk shows and fashion shows. The fashion designers and artists would be keen on hosting shows at our premises due to various advantages and promotions as the target group of customers being the same. This exhibition space helps us in getting more footfalls to the store and improves the brand visibility.”
The store has few innovative things like Designer Lounge, facility for video conferencing with NRI clients, customisation of Jewellery.
The Interiors
Tastefully done interiors ooze grandeur from every corner of the store. “The interiors are carefully planned and executed keeping in view the cultural influences in the city of Hyderabad. Vibrant and eye soothing colour combinations with ambient lighting enhances the customer experience while shopping,” said Abhishek.
The store interiors are done with Italian marble and Indian Inlay work matching to the ceiling design at the entrance lobby. The façade cladded with Udaipur Sand Stone is very unique in texture and subtle in colour. The CNC cut of the façade gives a luxury look and feel to the store.
The unique standalone building offers great landscaping views and a large show window with antique door showcases latest collection.
The NIZAMI Lounge (Private lounge) for customers takes us back to the colonial times of legacy and heritage. The Designer Lounge with ultramodern contemporary interiors with bright colours offers freshness to customers to get the jewellery customized as per their choice. The South Indian Lounge offers the rich medieval look.
Jewellery
The store houses ample array of jewellery in gold, silver, diamond and platinum. In plain gold, it has plain gold jewellery as well men’s jewellery and accessories, gold nakshi and temple jewellery. In the diamond studded jewellery category, the store offers exclusive bridal sets, regular wear and all kinds of accessories for ladies, men’s chains, bracelets and other accessories. If you have special affection for Jadau jewellery then one would find heavy polki studded and fusion jewellery for brides. In platinum, the store offers bracelets for men and women, bands, couple rings etc. The store also has Emeralds, Ruby, Topaz and all kinds of gem stones haars and loose gem stones for sale. All kinds of pooja articles, dinner sets and exclusive master pieces in fine silver are also available here.

Also, management is planning to come out with a budget value Jewellery stores by its sub-brand “Chanda Parameshwar Jewellers” in and around Hyderabad.
Views on Indian Jewellery Industry
“Indian Jewellery market is mostly driven by consumer sentiments and buying is encouraged as a tradition. Apart from certain turbulences regarding the policy matters, the jewellery market has always been progressive and its contribution towards GDP is notable,” Abhishek pointed out. “Consumers are keen on buying the more wearable kind of Jewellery now-a-days. Also, in recent times with “Make in India” being promoted well overseas, the inflow of FDI’s has spurred up,” adds abhishek.
