Celebrating 150 years, the C. Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers has introduced the stunning "Durbar Assemblage," an intricately handcrafted jewelry line that honors the magnificent legacy of the Mysore Palace. Princess Darshika Kumari and Princess Kamakshi Devi Wadiyar unveiled this regal collection at the Crystal Museum Salon, C. Krishniah Chetty Group Of Jewellers, The Touchstone, Main Guard Cross Road.
This collection takes inspiration from the grand architecture of Mysore's palaces, including their majestic facades, durbar halls, arches, and other architectural marvels. Each piece prominently features the symbolic Ghandaberunda motif, a representation of the Mysore state emblem.
The "Durbar Collection" is beautifully complemented by the "Mysore Kasu Collection," inspired by the coins minted during the rule of the Wodeyar dynasty. These traditional Kasu pieces seamlessly blend the old and the new, catering to wearers with diverse and discerning tastes.
Every Kasu piece embodies the grandeur of Mysore's rich history, paying tribute to the illustrious Maharaja Krishna Raja Wodeyar IV, the majestic Ghandaberunda motifs, and the captivating Mysore temple door. To enhance their appeal, these pieces feature fine rubies and emeralds set in the traditional Kundalavelai setting. The craftsmen at C. Krishniah Chetty have painstakingly created each piece, capturing the regal essence of Mysore's heritage.
