The 10th edition of the India Rough Gemstones Sourcing Show (IRGSS) kicked off in Jaipur on August 27
The 10th edition of the India Rough Gemstones Sourcing Show (IRGSS) commenced in Jaipur on August 27, inaugurated by Neeraj Dubey, Additional Commissioner of Customs, Jaipur, alongside K.M. Meena, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Air Cargo Complex (ACC), Jaipur. Organized by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), this prestigious event gathers key players from the global gemstone industry.
The inauguration saw the presence of prominent industry figures, including Nirmal Bardiya, Regional Chairman for Rajasthan, GJEPC, and B.N. Gupta, Convener of the Synthetic Stone, Sales to Foreign Tourists & Fashion Jewellery (SS/SFT/FJ) Sub-Committee, GJEPC. Council Regional Committee Members Vijay Kedia and Rambabu Gupta also attended the event.
One of the highlights of the show is the extensive display of rough emeralds by Zambia-based Kagem Mining Limited, a subsidiary of Gemfields. Etienne Marvillet, Assistant Director of Product & Sales at Kagem, is present at the event and will be available throughout the show.
Running until September 14, 2024, the IRGSS provides a vital platform for buyers and sellers to connect, fostering new business opportunities within the gemstone industry.
