The Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), the world’s largest diamond exchange, celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with a lively Dahi Handi competition, bringing together its security and housekeeping staff in a spirited display of teamwork, tradition, and camaraderie.
Renowned for its robust security infrastructure, BDB organized the celebration specifically for its security and housekeeping teams, acknowledging their critical role in safeguarding the complex and ensuring smooth daily operations. The event saw four groups – Men’s Security, Women’s Security, Men’s Housekeeping, and Women’s Housekeeping – participate with enthusiasm after nearly two weeks of practice.
The festivities were attended by BDB Committee Members Mr. Prakash C. Shah, Mr. Kiran K. Gandhi, and Mr. Paresh Mehta, who praised the participants for their energy and commitment. Their presence underscored BDB’s emphasis on building an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
Shri Mehul Shah, Vice President of BDB, shared his thoughts on the occasion: “At BDB, we believe that true strength lies in our people. Events like this Janmashtami celebration are not just about festivities; they are about fostering unity, respect, and joy within our community. Seeing our security and housekeeping teams come together with such passion fills me with immense pride.”
Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the event made them feel valued and more connected. One participant remarked that preparing and celebrating together had strengthened bonds and created a sense of belonging within the BDB family.
By hosting Janmashtami festivities within its premises, rather than merely observing the holiday, BDB reinforced its reputation as not only a global diamond hub but also a people-centric community that prioritizes employee well-being, recognition, and shared celebration.
