There has been an incident of jewellery robbed reported on Aarey Road at Goregaon in Mumbai. The attackers were a mob of four, who assaulted Mithesh Kothari, a 25 year old, just as he was walking out of V. Gold Jewellers at 2pm. He was carrying a bag with gold ornaments worth about Rs.1.4 million ($35,000), according to newspaper reports. The robbers fled with the bag, after stabbing Kothari. %% Police reports say that he was assaulted by the four armed men after he refused to hand over the bag. He was later rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. The police are considering a possibility of an insider giving a tip off about Kothari’s movements.
