Mumbai-based Su-raj Diamonds & Jewellery has announced its performance for the fourth quarter ending 31 March 2010. In this period, sales increased 24 percent year-on-year to $200.6 million. Jewellery sales increased 41 percent, which helped make up for the 22 percent drop in its diamond sales in the three months. Its jewellery sales amounted to $167 million and diamond sales valued $32.9 million at the end of the said tenure. The other sales dropped 21 percent to $684,087. %% The company’s expenses increased 23 percent to $193.p by 1 million, as profits spurred 342 percent to $6.3 million. The company had begun importing gold bullion in the said quarter.
