A special service of thanksgiving was organised in memory of late Her Highness Rajmata Gayatri Devi of Jaipur, by Lord Patrick Beresford, prior to the opening of Ganjam Jaipur Trophy 2010 match played on Duke’s ground, at Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park on June 26th,. This is the first year the match is being played since the passing of Her Highness Rajmata Gayatri Devi, an ardent supporter of the game. %% The Ganjam Jaipur Trophy match was played between Billingbear Park and Piaget, with Piaget winning ¬¬¬¬9-6. Maharaja Jai Singh along with Dushyanth Ganjam presented the trophies. The annual Ganjam Jaipur Trophy Day, is a distinctive pairing of elegance and sportsmanship between the Guards Polo Club under the patronage of its president HRH Prince Philip and Ganjam - a name synonymous with high-end jewellery. %% Amongst dignitaries attending the match included five representatives of the British Royal Family, Lord Patrick Beresford, Michael Butler, the American Theatrical Producer, Mark Shand, brother of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, Lord Palumbo, Prince and Princess Maximillian Auersperg, countess Cathcart, Lord Cowdray, Tge Dowager, Pamela Egremont, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild and Baroness Friesen, apart from Maharani Usha Devi Rathore, Bianca Jagger, Koo Stark, Simon Parker – Bowles, Mrs. Julian Kitchener – Fellowes representing Prince Michael of Kent. Col Paul Belcher, Chairman of Guards Polo Club was presented with a framed photograph in memory of The Rajmata.
