The entrance to Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), Maccabi building has been namend after the late Simcha Lustig, former Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), as a tribute to the industry personality. The announcement was made at a ceremony at the IDE, and attended by industry leaders, friends and family members. %% Simcha Lustig was remembered as an outstanding diamantaire and respected leader of the Israeli Diamond Industry, serving key positions in the Israel Diamond Exchange and the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA). During the ceremony IDE President Avi Paz said, “Simcha’s sudden passing left a great void that is becoming deeper as time goes by. He was an outstanding figure in the diamond industry, in both business and public activity. It is a great privilege to name the entrance to the Maccabi building after him.” IDI Chairman Moti Ganz also noted that Simcha had encouraged him at the beginning of his public service in the diamond industry.
