The Kolkata-based Jewellers, Shree Ganesh Jewellery House Ltd (SGJH) aspires to procure a retail chain in Dubai as well as a brand in Europe for the expansion of its operations.

The company also eyes China as a future prospective market. The idea behind acquiring a brand in Europe is to then market it into China. The company sells the bulk of its stock in the overseas market, primarily exporting to UAE, Singapore and Hong Kong. The jewellery house specializes in making gold jewellery, diamond jewellery, gemstone-studded jewellery and light weight Italian jewellery. With talks in proceeding in Europe and Dubai, the company seeks to expand its retail sector.

SGJH operates under the brand name ‘GAJA’ in India. It currently has 23 retail stores and further plans on doubling this number by March, 2012. To give a boost to these plans, SGJH has entered into a strategic alliance with Bharti Enterprises Ltd, which is in the process of developing large format stores, for a store within store arrangement.
