CKC Jewellers launches coffee table book -

This extensive 290-page publication delves into the 150-year history of the renowned Indian jeweller and documents the evolution of Carnatic, Deccan, and South Indian jewellery.

On March 4th, 2023, C. Krishniah Chetty released "The Bejewelled Past," a 290-page coffee table book that delves into the 150-year history of the renowned Indian jeweller and documents the history of Carnatic, Deccan, and South Indian jewellery. Dr. Usha R Balakrishnan, an expert in Indian art and culture and a historian of Indian jewellery, authored the book, which was compiled and published by Dr. C Vinod Hayagriv, Managing Director and Director of C. Krishniah Chetty Group and Chief Curator of the Crystal Museum.

The book covers the history, craftsmanship, and trade of Indian jewellery throughout the ages, including accounts of travellers like Tavernier and Marco Polo and the jewellery motifs depicted in ancient temple sculptures such as those at Halebeedu in Karnataka.
