The new features are add-ons of the main offering, Augmented Reality-supported video calling
Plushvie, an Augmented Reality (AR) start-up based out of Ahmedabad, has come out with new features to enhance its AR-powered video calling offering, PlushMeet 2.0
The first of these is the Ring and Bracelet Try-on feature, something that is normally not supported by AR tech used by jewellery retailers, which is limited to necklace and earring try-on.
The second feature is group AR video calling, which allows multiple users to try jewellery together. The third feature is what Plushvie calls a 3-Click Product Upload. This feature enables retailers to instantly upload pictures of jewellery and remove the background of any image in less than a minute. It cuts down the upload time by as much as 90%, easing the process for retailers.
PlushMeet 2.0 also features a data-backed interactive dashboard, providing retailers with insightful business analytics.
Talking about the innovative features of PlushMeet2.0, Aagam Shah, Founder, Plushvie, says, “Jewellery e-commerce has lagged mainly because of the nature of the product. People want to try on jewellery before buying it. Through our products, that gap is now bridged. Retailers can replicate the in-store experience for buyers online. At the click of a button, buyers can ‘wear’ a ring or a bracelet, and see how it looks on them.”
Providing details about the group AR calling, he says, “The Group AR Video-calling feature allows multiple users to try jewellery at the same time. It provides the family shopping experience, wherein different members of the family can try on the same product at the same time, even if they are at different locations. This is a unique experience that cannot be provided even in a store. Customers can try on jewellery virtually, and then go to the store to actually buy it.”
The try-on feature also enables customers to personalize the jewellery as per their requirement. They can instantly check how a piece looks on them, and if they want it modified, it will show the modified results also. This gives customers a better visibility into what they are actually buying.
Plushvie was set up in 2018, and has been recognised as the “Startup of the Year 2020” by the Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) for user-driven innovation in the retail space.
