The India Gems and Jewellery Show (GJS April Show), organized by the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), concluded on Friday with positive feedback from both domestic and international buyers. Held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, the event brought together jewellery wholesalers and retailers to strategize sales approaches for the upcoming festive and wedding seasons.

Dubbed as #HumaraApnaShow, the four-day GJS April 2024 event saw active participation from industry leaders, with foreign delegates showing keen interest in purchasing designer jewellery, including Kundan, Jadau, and traditional hand-crafted ornaments. Despite the enforcement of the Achar Sanhita due to the parliamentary election scheduled in April and May, the GJS April Show successfully proceeded as planned.

The inauguration ceremony, led by Chief Guest Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, Government of Maharashtra, along with notable figures from the jewellery industry, marked the beginning of the event. With over 550 stalls and 400 exhibitors showcasing innovative products, the GJS April Show attracted over 200 international buyers from various countries such as Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, Bangladesh, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Bangkok.

Strategically timed before Gudi Padwa and Akshaya Tritiya, the show provided retailers with an opportunity to explore trendsetting designs and establish connections with suppliers. Additionally, the Gala Evening, GJC Nite, held at Hotel Sahara Star on April 3, featured Bollywood actress Adah Sharma as the showstopper, adding glamour to the event.

The highlight of the GJS April Show was the Fashion Show, where leading Indian models and celebrities showcased exquisite jewellery creations by renowned jewellers. Supported by partners such as De Beers, Laxmi Diamonds, Platinum Guild International, RK Bracelets, Padmavati Chains, Shubham Motiwala Jewellers, and Unique Chains, the event celebrated the latest trends and innovations in the jewellery industry.

Saiyam Mehra, Chairman of GJC and Convenor of the GJS April 2024 Show, expressed gratitude to exhibitors, visitors, sponsors, and industry stakeholders for their support, emphasizing the event's success as a testament to the organization's commitment to providing a premier B2B platform for the jewellery sector.

Rajesh Rokde, Vice Chairman of GJC, commended the hard work and dedication of the GJS Committee and COA, attributing the show's success to their efforts. He thanked exhibitors, visitors, and sponsors for their contributions and pledged to maintain the momentum for future shows.

Nilesh S Shobhawat, Co-Convenor of GJS and Director of GJC, highlighted the success of the event and praised the seminar organized during the show for its insightful discussions and valuable insights, thanking all participants, exhibitors, and partners for their involvement in making the event a triumph.
