This collaboration leverages DHL’s time-definite international (TDI) delivery service to streamline global trade for Indian jewellers.

Enhancing Cross-Border Trade

As the first international logistics provider to sign an MoU with GJEPC, DHL aims to help local jewellery and gem makers expand their global presence and increase revenue. The partnership simplifies customs clearance, reducing transit times, paperwork, and shipping costs compared to traditional cargo methods.

Industry Impact and Vision

Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director of GJEPC, highlighted the importance of seamless exports: “The MoU with DHL is a significant step in simplifying cross-border logistics, enabling our members to showcase their craftsmanship globally. This initiative aligns with our efforts to facilitate e-commerce-driven exports.”

Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises

DHL’s commitment to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is at the core of this agreement. GJEPC members will benefit from exclusive discounts and direct participation in educational seminars conducted by DHL, equipping exporters with best practices for global shipping.

Expanding Reach Across India

Initially launching in Mumbai, the service will extend to key jewellery hubs, including Surat, Jaipur, Delhi, and Bangalore, ensuring greater accessibility and efficiency for exporters nationwide.

This strategic partnership is set to redefine international trade for India’s jewellery sector, reinforcing the country’s position as a global leader in the industry.
