The U.S. consumer price index (CPI) for jewellery in May 2010, stood above 150 points for the 28th consecutive cycle as it rose 3.8 percent y-o-y to 160.9 points, reports say. In comparison to April this year, the said CPI reading was only a fraction higher. %% The index is based on the reference point of average prices in 1986, which is set at 100 points. %% The country’s CPI for all products in May 2010, rose 2 percent y-o-y to 217.2 points, reports add.
